The color space is messed up when going to PS from LR Classic and back in new release. All are set for ProPhoto. Did not have the problem with previous versions.

Catalog "all synced photographs" does no longer show videos
Hi everybody,
after I upgraded to version 8 of Lightroom Classic CC (build 1193777) I can no longer see my synchronized videos. I can only see the videos in "all photographs", even that they are synchronized (because it's the only way that they could be in my catalog - they are from my iPhone).
I am sure, that in version 7 this works correctly. How can I bring the videos back to this "catalog", as this is my starting point and I am missing the information about my videos. Thanks.

Lightroom Classic CC sync problems after moving catalog
Hi there,
I have a MacBook Pro 2015 500GB storage with 8GB memory, and the latest versions of Lightroom Classic CC (v08) and Photoshop CC.
I have all my raw original photos on an external harddrive and my LR catalog on my laptop harddrive.
Recently I attempted to move my catalog to my external harddrive so I could switch between my laptop and iMac when editing in Lightroom classic cc.
The process started fine but then started to freeze, and would not complete syncing, program was not responding and I had to force quit after a few days of not being able to use my laptop.
I then decided to redirect LR Classic back to my original catalog on my laptop, this process also started fine and then froze and would no longer respond.
My system tells me LR Classic is using 14GB of RAM at the time it froze and I had to end the program, which exceeds my 8GB of laptop memory.
Would my solution be to upgrade my RAM to at least 16GB++ (I also use Photoshop)- will this help my problem?
Also- What should I do about my catalog sync issue in the interim?
What is is the best way to use a Lightroom Classic catalog on an iMac desktop and a Macbook Pro laptop?

A Question about Highlights and Shadows sliders in basic panel
I have read about a introduction about Highlights and Shadows sliders in basic panel, the article published in 'Adobe Press'. That is what it says in the article.
'The Highlights and Shadows sliders are symmetrical in the way they behave, allowing you to lighten or darken the highlight or shadow areas. These sliders only affect the tone region on either side of the midtone point. To be precise, the range of these sliders does extend beyond the midtone value, but the greatest effect is concentrated in the highlight tones for the Highlight slider and the shadow tones for the Shadows slider. Adjustments in the +/-50% range will have a normal type effect when lightening or darkening, but as you apply adjustment that are greater than this, the lightening or darkening adjustments are applied via a halo mask(this is similar to method used in HDR tone mapping). The thing to watch out for here is that as you apply a strong effect, the underlying halos can become noticeable. The goal has been to make the halo mask as unobtrusive as possible. For the most part, it is quite well disguised, but when pushed to extreme, it can be possible to detect halos.'
Here, I have questions about this statement.
1. What is the 'normal type effect' (which is highlight with blue in the paragraph above)? How do these two sliders affect pixels in different brightness?
2. What is the halo mask and what does it do?

Re importing images thats been exported
Please help,
If I carry out basic editing, then export using Lightroom preset into Photoshop, apply fine tuning editing and syncronise folder, if I re export will the export preset apply for a second time to the image?
If I carry out basic editing in Lightroom, then go to edit in Photoshop this then generates a 68MB file of which I do not want, I only want a high quality Jpeg, is there a way on the Mac that will let me export from Lightroom, edit in Photoshop but as a JPG??, as when I export using preset this lets me generate the jpg for editing...

Export to Disk plugin
I posted about this, I think quite some time ago but I think it got lost in the Big Website Tidy Up earlier this year and I've added some bits to it so I thought it might be a good time to re-post.
- Optionally add keywords to images as they're exported
- Adds export date metadata to images as they're exported
- Optionally runs a post export script on images as they're exported.
I use the keyword & metadata facility to keep track of what and where I've exported images to - social networks, clients, magazines, whatnot and the post export script facility to export to Apple Photos, automatically post to Twitter and add borders to images, amongst other things.
I use it a lot, maybe it will be useful to others.

Lightroom preset security
Hi i need to find a way to keep secure my presets and colors that i created.
Im working for wedding studio as an photo editor my job is to edit any photos that captured from coupels
But the bad problem in this job is Competition
Not many people knowing that how to colorize and edit in this level so my presets and what i made for editing is important and if its being stolen by my boss or any people after my time work is end i will lost my job of course and many people find that how i do that so its my color and the way of editing i manually delete my presets everyday and some times i forget about it and its boring doing it eevery day (need to mention that people work with this system after my work time) so i need way to change the preset folder from develope preset somewhere else like usb drive, or self destruc folder or way to keep these presets secure, is there any way to change develope preset location into usb flash drive for mac os?

Fuji XT3 RAW Support
I've downloaded the latest updated which is supposed to support Fuji XT3 RAF files. I does indeed now at least recognise them but changing the white balance to anything other than 'As Shot' results in a horrible green colour cast - this needs fixed asap and should never have been released with as issue as obvious as this!

Blacked Out Loupe View in Develop Module
It seems that since the update to "Classic" that at every start up of the program I can develop one photo and upon moving to the next loupe view is blacked out. In other words in the main view for developing the photo it is not visible. In reference and before/after views the photo is visible. Loupe view is however visible from my second screen. This makes it quite awkward to edit. See the screenshot below
My OS is Windows 7x64 and my Lightroom is version 7.0.1

Nikon D3200 Tether support
I have a Nikon D3200 that I love to bits, it is an awesome little camera that takes some superb shots, I don't want to have to upgrade just to use it tethered what are the chances for some support, or is the camera to basic for it, love using the adobe software.

New Classic Installation - Still Syncing
Hi all
I purchased a new MacBook, and installed both Classic and CC.
Problem is that when I open Classic, it wants to start syncing 27,000 photos that I have in the Creative Cloud.
Is thee a way to stop the download (sync with CC), but still upload new Collections from my Macbook with Classic on it?

Lightroom Sync Loop + thousands of errors with 7.5
Sync has generally worked well for me in the past but now it has gone completely mad.
Every time I open Lightroom it says "syncing 15,000 photo" and basically it tries to sync everything again. Then when it gets nearly complete, the number starts climbing again and so does the "sync errors" number until you end up with thousands of sync errors.
While it does this, Lightroom basically becomes unresponsive and often crashes and requires a Force Quit, at which point it then starts all over again.
I'm running LR 7.5
While the Sync is running, the sync panel in the preferences menu shows nothing at all. There are thousands of images now in the "sync error" collection, but nothing shows up in the sync activities section so I have no idea what error message it thinks it is getting.

Turn off login screen
Hi I have just updated LR today. I am getting this splash/login screen. I think it is logging into my account, it is the first time I have ever seen this. The blue wheel rotates for quite a while and just disappears. It does not get to the bit where it asks me for password etc. Anyone any idea to turn it off. Thanks in advance.

Using Lightroom crashes YouTube stream
Using the last version of Lightroom Classic CC 7.5 but this was true also with some previous versions on Windows 10, GTX 1080 Ti.
When using Lightroom, YouTube (usually using Chrome, will try with Firefox when I have the occasion) stream freezes and can only be resumed by reloading the page (losing the progression time).
Frequency: currrently I need to reload the videos after watching like 30 to 60 seconds.
When not using Lightroom, YouTube does not crash, so there must be something going on when having both running on the same computer.
Someone will probably say that disabling GPU acceleration is the solution to all problems in the world, but that not the kind of solution I'm hoping for.
Any idea, clue, advice?

Changes to book not saved with October 2018 update
I just updated LR Classic CC and now the Book module does not save any changes. I have restarted LR, restarted my computer, changed libraries but still can't update my book (particularly frustrating as I was almost finished.).

Lightroom CC not downloading into Lightroom Classic on desktop
All,
I downloaded the new versions of Lightroom CC and Classic yesterday when they became available. I was able to successfully sync all photos in my LR Classic Library by creating collections that sync with CC for all my folders. However, when I add a photo to Lightroom CC to any of those folders, it does not download into Classic even though sync is enabled. Thoughts?

Imported photos not showing
I just updated to Lightroom Classic 8.0 yesterday and today when I imported photos they do not show up in the Library view and only show up in the Develop module if I click on a specific photo. All of my existing photos show up correctly, it's only the new imports that do not show up. I looked in finder and the pictures are in the correct folder and the metadata does show correctly in the Library module, but all I see are gray boxes, no photos. Any ideas?

Not displaying photos
I recently upgraded my Lightroom to LR Classic (I haven't used it in over a year) & it won't display any of my photos in Develop. Old photos or new imports. I can see the thumbnails, but the main screen looks like this.... Anyone else have this issue when they upgraded? Anyone know how to fix it?

Membership to CC
What are people in other countries supposed to do to purchase Photoshop and other programs now that its a subscription service.
I'm getting frustrated because I like Adobe products but I can't purchase any new programs now because it says I can't subscribe from my country.
